About us

I waited a long time for my first schnauzer, Merkurlautar Bashima or “Berlín”. I went to check out Merkulautar Kennel’s first litter in 2004 and fell in love with the breed. Year later or summer 2005 Berlín was born. After getting to know the breed i knew that there was no turning back, the miniature schnauzer is the most exciting breed that i ever known, and Berlin was all that i could ask for, both charming, strong minded, and a wise dog, affcourse she would steal from us like a real schnauzer does, and she has a charming litle wisky voice, she is just amazing, and now there is no turning back.
Im  really lucky that i got to know the breed so early in Iceland, with only few dogs and breeders in the beginning. I have great friends that share the same passion as i do, and i feel lucky to have them.
Ive observed one litter after another and seen the population of miniature schnauzers grow here, as of now we have around 300 schnauzers in Iceland. I have also been following up on some of Iceland’s imported schnauzers and she mated on with Berlín in 2008, a male dog that i got follow up on from since he was a puppy, he's owned by my friend Líney (Kolskeggs Kennel).

I find it really important to be able to work with other kennels here in Iceland since we are quite isolated and few here. It’s good to be able to share knowledge and experience with each other breeders to improve our own breeding. I believe with that in mind we can breed strong and healthy schnauzers and become one of the countries that are considered frontiers in schnauzer breeding.
I started out with hmy first litter in fall 2008, 5 puppies that all lived and are all very promising.
.
MY goal is to breed healthy, beautiful miniature schnauzer with great temperament. They will be first and foremost great companion dogs. I breed by the FCI standard and im a member of the Icelandic Kennel Club.
